Google integrations privacy notice
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This notice explains the handling of Google account data by internal tools operated for The Moving Chain Ltd, including the email-to-Google Drive archive. It is specific to these Google integrations, rather than a general privacy notice for the broker platform.
Access and purpose
An authorised Google account holder grants access through Google OAuth. Internal tools use the granted permissions to perform specifically authorised Google Drive operations, including reading file metadata, checking existing records, and uploading archive files. Some tools request broad Drive access even when their operational task is limited to a particular folder.
The email archiver reads a separately authorised The Moving Chain email mailbox and writes messages and their attachments into the configured Google Drive archive folder. Google Drive is the destination for those copies, not the source mailbox.
Storage and sharing
Archive copies and associated metadata are stored in Google Drive. Authorisation credentials are held in the runtime configuration of the services operating the integration; the email-archive worker runs on Render. Google and the relevant service infrastructure process information to provide these functions. Access is intended for the account holder and authorised operators, not for advertising or resale.
Retention and control
Archived files remain in the designated Google Drive location until an authorised owner removes them or the organisation applies its retention requirements. Google access can be revoked through the Google account's third-party connection settings. Revoking access stops future authorised operations but does not automatically delete copies already stored in Drive.
